Meet with Italian Olympic Gold Medalist with Top US Fencers in Houston!
Fencers across the globe is now having a chance to meet with your idol, Valerio Aspromonte, the Italian Olympic Gold Medalist in London 2012, while joining the Camp Victory in Houston this summer. You can also stay couple more days longer to watch the Summer Nationals, i.e. the most important tournament for young fencers in US every year.
One of the most successful camp on the west coast. this 6th visit of Coach Aspromonte vitalizes the top qualified fencers in Houston region the best possible, most intensive training before the Summer Nationals this season!
You will experience the most competitive fencers of whom you might ever tried in your fencing years!
To get the best out of this camp, we also invite the top foil coaches at Salle Mauro, Khaled Soliman, Ahmed Rosowsky and Ammar Aboelkhier to aid the coaching this year! Yes, you are experiencing TOP Italian, Egyptian and British fencing in ONE EVENT!
With the closed door approach, this full day training everyday from 9am to 3pm, you can fence with US fencers from several major clubs in the region, along with other international fencers from Italy, China, Hong Kong, Canada etc.
You will be gaining skill exchange, understanding US training culture, making new friends with the best US clubs. Aspromonte and other coaches will show you and discuss with you how to make it all the way to the world rank. The whole trip will be full of fun and inspirative to fencers of all age.
CAMP DETAILS
Duration : 5-Day total; 18-22 June 2018.
Venue : 4007 Bellaire Boulevard STE EE, Houston TX, 77025.
Purpose : Experience and Skill Sharing & Preparation for Competitons in Fall 2018.
Feature : Cross-Border Group Practice and Experience Sharing Sessions
Program (daily program to-be-confirmed)
Indoor Training : Warm-up, Group drill, Group fencing, Individual fencing with Aspromonte
Outdoor Training : Group drill; location to be confirmed
Private Lesson : 30-minute; between sessions and during session 4; Available upon prior arrangement
Beginners' Lesson : Small group and individual beginners' lessons to be conducted by Salle Mauro coaches on the venue.
Session : 1 no. per day, 2.5 hours morning and afternoon; 1 hour lunch break;
COACH
Coach In-Charge : Valerio Aspromonte, the reputable Italian champion foil fencer and gold medalist of London 2012 Olympics.
Local Coach : Salle Mauro coaches, Khaled Soliman, Ahmed Rosowsky and Ammar Aboelkhier. Coaches from other clubs to be confirmed.
Staff & Volunteer : care-taking (volunteer parents), coaching (volunteer fencers), translation (STEPIO staff), referee (fencers & club coaches) by a group of trainers, tutors and support coaches.
PARTICIPANT
- Weapon : Foil (optional Epee and Saber).
- Gender : Male and female.
- Age Limit : Age of 6 or above.
- Group : Athletes will be divided based on age and technical abilities.
- Maximum No. of Fencers : 100 (70% from USA)
- Nationality : 70% USA, 5% Italian; 25% Other countries
COST
Camp Fee :
- USD700 for 5 days.
- Private Lesson
- USD90 per 30-minute lesson, with your selected Coach;
- reserve with STEPIO earlier once completing pre-registration;
- subject to in-advance booking and availability.
Deadline of Accepting Fencers : 30 May 2018 or while seat lasts
Registration Confirmation : All US fencers to extend the final list of applicants to Salle Mauro FC on or before 30 May; International fencers to extend your registration to STEPIO on or before 30 May 2018.

Accommodation
- Not included;
- Bed-and-Breakfast or hotel can be arranged for foreign fencers and local fencers from remoted areas;
- Nearby Bed & Breakfast, nearest hotel, rates to be confirmed (with and without breakfast).
Meal
- Not included; self-arranged;
- Lunch : USD8 per box.
- Airfare, Local Transport & Other Expenses
- Not included;
- expenses related to airfare, dining-out, private gathering among athletes, local transports and souvenirs are NOT included.
Souvenirs & Prizes
- All fencers will be offered camp specific souvenirs and prizes from the competition;
- Don't forget you can always get special gifts from coaches they brought from their countries if you perform well in camp!
Insurance
- Public indemnity insurance is managed for the event;
- foreign fencers to manage their own insurances.
Accompanied STEPIO Coach : STEPIO arranges accompanied coach with the athletes who register with STEPIO from Hong Kong, Macao, Korea, Singapore, Taipei, Taichung and Moscow. It is USD60 per day EXTRA to the Camp Fee.

Houston's Premier Fencing Academy at Your Reach! With Italian Champion Valerio Aspromonte to be Your Coach!
Salle Mauro Fencing Academy is good organizing training programs which are regularly augmented with camps and clinics during summer months in June through August, as well as in winter and spring breaks.
For 4 to 5 hours a day. campers seize the opportunity to experience unprecedented, in-depth training in footwork, bladework and bouting, with video analysis available for catching mistakes instantaneously, and games to blow off some steam while reinforcing key skills, of course.
The Academy is right next to Rice University so college placement says it all!
PRIVATE LESSON (INDIVIDUAL CLINIC)
Cost : USD90 per half hour with your selected Champion Coach;
Reservation : Reserve your place with STEPIO earlier once completing pre-registration.

Purpose : Preparation for competitons in Fall 2017 and College Placement.

Coach In-Charge : Hamza Mauro, the reputable champion coach in Egypt and the States.
Coach : Velario Aspromonte, Olympic Champion London 2012; Other Olympic and World Champions - TBC.
Staff : A group of trainers, tutors, support coaches and technical weapon repair master.

Age Limit : Age of 8 or above.
Group : Athletes will be divided based on age and technical abilities.
COST
Camp Fee : USD675 per athlete.
Hotel : 7-night NOT included; Bed-and-Breakfast or hotel; twin bedded or triple or quadruple standard room can be arranged.
Airfare & Other Expenses : Airfare, daily meals and expenses related to dining-out, private gathering among athletes, transports and suveniors are NOT included.

Example of Total Cost (Traveling Budget): Athlete Josh will attend the Camp with STEPIO accompanied coach for the whole trip. Leaving Hong Kong on 10 June and coming back on 18 June.
